Cvilleira, if you are interested in the blonde HWY 1 that I mentioned above, let me know. (It is an SSS version.) Are you located in Maryland?

Is it in one of the local shops in the Balt Wash corridor? May be worth a look.

The shop is north of Baltimore, about 30 minutes from the Baltimore beltway. By the way, I rechecked and the price is $449 with deluxe bag included....

What shop? Are you local to the area as well?

CV, I'm located in Maryland. I'm not sure about posting the name of the store here, though. Email me at dickson101@aol.com and I'll send you the name of the shop.

If that's the truth, then the 699.99 price will stay till the end, right? Or maybe they'll discount them further?

I just bought another strat due to this forum!

It's the Honey Blonde Rosewood. I mainly prefer maple boards, but I wanted the Honey Blonde and it looks so much better with the RW IMHO.

Anyway, it should be here Thursday!

Well, got mine in. I was the one who got the lefty from musician's friend with the 15% off deal. Z9 serial.

Haven't had it set up or done anything to it myself other than check tune and intonation and they were good to go. Easiest playing guitar I've had yet. It did have a slight mar in the finish near the bottom strap button. But seeing as I got it, a lefty no less, for under 600 and the fact that it plays so smooth, I'll just call that a little pre-relic work. Also looks like I snagged the last honey blonde they had since it has been showing 32 days for availability daily since I ordered. Not wanting to swap out for black or wine, no offense to you black guitar guys (not sure there is anyone who prefers midnight or trans wine).

Between it and the little Vibro Champ XD keeping me entertained, I haven't taken pics of it yet. I plan to try to get it and maybe a herd pic done soon. I've planned that for a while though...

Hopefully the rumors of the Highway One's demise are unfounded. This guitar solidly fits into the market and is a top performer in it's range. But if they are true, glad I got mine.

Post pictures of your squire series. Now that is one absolute hell of a guitar. Mine outranks my customshop, vintage hotrod and american deluxe.
Do i love squire series. If you want to sell it, cash on collection ok mate> JK.

Just scored a second lefty MIM Squier Series today. Strung right handed and has an unknown model Seymour Duncan single sized humbucker. :D

So I guess this is my thread now...

As an update, since I'm going to pretend like anyone cares, I decided to return the Highway One since it had the flaw. They have a scratch and dent, which is effectively what mine ended up being, for 525 whereas they told me that I could not get a discount for the imperfection since I got mine on sale for 595. My consumer principles kicked in and I decided that would not work. Sooo, now I'll be getting a black one instead since Honey Blonde is still showing 32 day backorder every day.

I guess now with the addition of the new MIM Squier series and this one to the old MIM Squier series, I can mix one part Eric Clapton and one part George Foreman and name them Blackie, Blackie, and Blackie.

I saw the scratch and dent Highway One and almost jumped on it like a rabid animal, then I realized it was a lefty. Enjoy!
