Thanks brunno690, I guess alwaysstrat / strat2004 / highwayoneplayer did not want to answer. I was just wondering who had Honey Blonds in stock!

No prob. I have yet to see this color in person anywhere. Though not my favorite strat, for 700 it would be hard to go wrong.

I agree with you 100% bruno! The other day someone posted they were getting them for that price minus another 15% for some special somewhere it may have been GC I am not sure.

just talked to matt at fender. i asked why such
a big price droped on the highway ones.
he realy didnt know so he say's but then he slipped
he said they could be going away. and that makes
sence the highway one strat sss and hss selling from $900 to $930 all of a sudden
the price was droped to $699.99 i dont know who or what
to beleve but i would suggest to get them now. because
he just might br right.

I think this is all just part of Fenders plan all along. Let's raise prices across the board 30+ percent. Then offer big discounts on certain models at different times of the year. Believe me if I had the cash I would grab another Highway One while they're on sale. Even the MIM standards are $50.00 off.

I just saw two new HWY 1s on sale at our local "mom and pop" store for $499 each -- one blonde (don't remember if its HSS or SSS) and one black HSS... amazing..

CV, you're reading my mind... I'm scrambling to pay off one of my two layaways there before the HWY 1 is gone... not sure if I really need it though that doesn't stop me from wanting it -- AM Deluxe HSS and CP 50's currently on layaway... All I need is a justification (other than the incredible price) to add a HWY 1 to the pile! All ideas for justifying this are welcome! Right now, the "but its such a good deal" rationale is all I can think of...

Well you have two very nice guitars on layaway with those two so your not doing bad in the acquisition department as is my Friend.

Yeah, I feel very fortunate to have those two almost mine.. It seems like whenever I go in there to pay on a layaway, I see deals that are almost excrutiating to pass up... On the HWY1, I think I'll pass even though it is an incredible deal. I need to stay focused on what I really already had in mind -- a candy apple red Strat with Texas Special pups, as I discussed in another thread here...

I need to wear blinders when I go in that guitar store...
