Hi all, just bought a Fender Strat (Used) and was wondering where i could find more information on this guitar using the serial number. It's a stunning see-through Ash body in white & one-piece Rosewood over Maple neck).

Thanks Twelvebar, but i've been there. Only tells me me year it was made which i already know. Just not sure if it's a Standard Deluxe or other.

Unless you have access to a fender employee thats about all the informtion your going to get out of a serial no'. No one besides employees has access to their database.

What are the first 3 digits of the serial no'?

its a 2000 standard. deluxe from 2000 onwards have the prefix DZ standard has Z. The next number is the year 0 is 2000 1 is 2001 and onwards.

Thanks for that nikininja, Thought it was a standard just (IMO) a bit unusual that it has an ash body and see through paint. Not that it really matters as i love it 8)
