Hi all,
I'm going to be purchasing my first strat soon. I've been looking around for awhile now and have my eyes on the Classic 60s strat. Jsut wondering what anyone has to say about that guitar.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Try as many models as you can. When the right one finds YOU, you'll know it.

Great guitar. I was playing one at the shop the other day. I really liked it.

I've been back to the shop numerous times and have played numerous guitars and the 60's strat just sticks out. It just feels right in my hands. Unfortunately, I just called the shop and they sold it yesterday during a big sale. It was their last one :(
Does anybody have any experience ordering guitars online? Do you advise against ordering online?

I dunno. They just said they weren't going to sell that model anymore. It didn't make sense to me...
They had two more they get from somewhere, but they were more expensive, by $170, for some reason. I don't really feel like shelling out much more money, I'm not loaded and the one in store was pretty much my entire budget. The reason I ask about online is I found a good shop that's been in business since the 50s and had a good chat with them. The price is the same as the first.

Hi and welcome,
Bummer about your strat... Check music123, musiciansfriend, sam ash etc. these are pretty good online stores. Are there any other Fender shops close to you? Also you could check out used...

Good Luck, keep looking

Bill

I have ordered a guitar online. If they have a good return polocy you might be alright. What you want is to be able to return it with no questions asked.Sometimes you try a guitar , then you order it online (the same model even) and it doesnt feel anything like the first one.
