I'm looking for a set (including the single coil neck pup) If anyone has any info as to where I could purchase some. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Can anyone validate the price on this unit? I could care less about the autograph, especially if it adds to the cost of the pup.

I am not sure but at one time I believe Seymour Duncan used to sell a Custom Shop Custom with EVH Winding. It was spec hum pickup like what they made for him but he did not want them to sell an artist model using his name so they did it that way and the the price was around 150.00.
There is no way I would pay 399.00 for the EVH HB like GC is selling his signature on something is not worth that to me.

Agreed cv! I spent an hour scouring the SD site last nite and found nothing along the lines of what I posted. So far thats it. but, at that price it would almost be more cost effective (no not really  ) to find a bucker from an es-335 and dip it in wax myself. I'll just have to keep researching a cheaper option i guess.

The rumor is, niki that the original pup was a PAF bucker robbed from a 65 ES-335 that he hand dipped in wax to reduce feedback (a common practice in most modern pups) and angled slightly to correct the string spacing difference between Gibs pup poles and the FR Trem spacing. The single coil neck pup was not wired at all. I'm curious about the SD bucker because it was used in the 300 Fender Frakenstrat replicas.

Agreed! Not to insult anyone who has or would. Simply as a matter of personal taste I would rather invest that $ into a personal creation.

Mr Thumbs. Why not try winding your own? The specs of the pickup are no doubt well publicized. Who knows you could find a very natural talent in pickup making.

Strat2004
please consider your wording. Your last comment could be misconstrued as you calling all customshop guitar owners fools. I'm sure that wasnt your intention and offer this advice in the interests of peace.

Bound to happen sooner or later Nick as I cant seem to resist the impulse to tinker with my rigs. For now I'm going to attempt to focus on this current project though.

Welcome to the modders curse mate. The only advice i can offer on that is spend a lot of time considering your actions before you reach for the toolbox.
