Does Fender make one? I was watching Motley Crue. Mick Mars played a couple. I've seen them before but can't seem to find one on here or MF. What model would it be?

Ive wanted one. They dont make new ones. I thought about getting a mim and routing it for a OFR.

Here is what I found:

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/prod ... sku=501161

Of course Mick Mars probably has a MIA with an after market Floyd Rose on it or a custom shop built to his specs.

Hope this helps out a little.

OK. So I'll be 30 pretty soon. Watching the new Motley Crue show on Palladia takes me back! It makes me really want a HSH FR Strat! Mick Mars really sounds good. This just goes to show the Strat can do pretty much anyting.

they used to make one. it was called a "Floyd Rose Classic Stratocaster". made in the 90's. They come up on ebay every now and then. $650-1200.

If your going to get a MIM strat with a floyd. I HIGHLY recommend swapping out the LFR for an OFR. The licensed version is horrible. It doesn't stay in tune at all. I have to tune it more than my american strat

Back in 1982, it was all the rage to use the "Floyd Rose". Being 16 and somewhat naive at that time, I took my recently purchased 1975 (used) Strat to the local music store and had one installed. Not that they did a hatchet job, but if I would have known then what I do now, I would have never done that! I still play that guitar, but kick myself every now and again for disfiguring such a fine specimen. It does keep me in tune, though!

Don't be too hard on yourself. At least it wasn't a 50's or 60's Strat.
