Hi everybody, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me solve my problem of my squeaky B string when I bend it up. It seems to be coming from the string tree, but I have no idea how im going to solve it.

Any ideas guys?

Gareth

Sounds like a problem with friction at the nut of your guitar. There are products out there to lube the nut, or you can use some pencil shavings. The graphite in the pencil (the black part) is a great dry lubricant. If all else fails, you can take it to your local guitar shop and they can file the nut for you to give it a proper gap. One of the best investments I've made was in a set of nut files. They aren't cheap, but if you own more than a few guitars, they really do come in handy, especially if you plan on building any of your own.

i doubt it is the nut. the T's ar stamped steal. take them off and get a round needle file from home depot and file the underside of the T where the string rides.
