Hi. Just picked up a used MIM Strat, FMT (flame maple top) in Cherry Sunburst, 3 single coils. I understand they were only made from summer of '05 to summer of '06. Just wondering if anyone knows about how many were made or how I could find out? I love the guitar, just would like to get some history on it and if possible find a photo on line to print for my record book. Thanks!

Fender does not make public any production numbers! The only number made public are FSR's Factory Special Run will often state a number made but thats it.

without seeing your guitar, mine has exactly the same description. But I can't find any info on the net. I have searched without results, to find info on MIM cherry sunburst strats... Who knows any more about this?

no, mine is the usual stratocaster, with a pickguard.

The neck appears to be a Fender-licensed replacement from Warmoth or Mighty Mite as the headstock decals are absent. It has a set of vintage Kluson tuners and a modern EasyGlider string guide.

i got a reply from customer relations, they can't be sure of the year of make, as the serial number on the neck is absent. The serial number on the body does not give them any clue, but they said it looks like a MIM FMT cherry sb made around 2005-2007.

I have to say they are really polite and helpful. And they answered immediately!
