I am rebuilding my stratocaster and recently purchased a set of Samarium Cobalt Noisless pickups. The pickups did not come with a wiring diagram, but I have a basic diagram that came with the wiring set I purchased online. The diagram I have only accounts for a the hot and ground wires. The SCN pickups have a three wiring system with the ground, hot and a green wire in the middle. I was wondering where to connect the middle green wire. If anyone has an answer that would be a huge help. Thanks!

I actually found the following on another forum:

SNC pickups have a separate ground/shield lead.

The white lead is the coil's positive lead (hot), the black lead is the coil's negative lead (ground), and the green lead is the independent ground/shield lead (not connected to the coil).

In a NORMAL Strat setup, you would solder both the green and black leads to ground.

If you were doing any phase-reverse or series combos (the S1 does series), the green lead (shield) would remain soldered to ground, BUT, the black lead (coil's negative lead) would be switched to various places for the phase and series mods.
