Can anyone tell me what model the Road Worn 60's strat is based upon?

The Road Worns are MIM. I think the closest thing to it would be the American Vintage series. Both the RW and the AV have the soft V maple neck and nitrocellulose finish. The AV has American Vintage pups and the RW has Tex Mex pickups, which I believe is the same set of pups that are in the Jimmie Vaughan strat.

So basically the body is a MIM "American" Vintage and the pups are Jimmie Vaughan. Hope I'm right and I hope this helps

Actually, the 60s Roadworn has a C neck (or something like that), not a V neck.

I think they're loosely based on Strats from the 60s, but they have some more modern features too. Like the taller frets and five way selector switch.

Yeah that's my bad. The 50's RW has a V neck and the 60's RW has a C neck. Good catch texasguitarslinger.

One question is; Is the model based on a pre-CBS Strat or CBS Strat??? It has a unique set of features that does not mimic a particular year it seems.

Well, it looks like an early-'60s kind of thing to me. That's based on the type of logo and the pickguard screw positioning.

They are supposed to be '57 and '62. Fender views those as pivotal years for both decades.
