If it plays good, then it's a good guitar. No matter what the sticker on the headstock says.

How about " No matter what the headtsock says if your a good player the guitar will sound accordingly"..............by the way if you have a "sticker" on your headstock, no matter how good you are it's gonna sound bad...give the fisher price guitar to your son and then start all over again

Jay you wouldnt agree that this newfound stance from alwaysstrat is surreal then. Yes i agree this thread on his behalf is completely hypocrittical in light of his previous comments on the subject and his beloved highway1 lauded above all else.

Btw i choose to 'talk about someone infront of them' as you put it because of their blatant ignorance towards myself. I'm sure you'd do the same in my possition. As it stands i haven't addressed him in this thread at all. Other threads that i have tried to converse about things he enjoys. Without being sided, just pointing towards things he may enjoy have been met with the aforementioned ignorance after the guy said he'd put differences aside. I'm blameless on this one, my social skills are still intact.

If it's a well made guitar, it's a well made guitar.

try to claim i said i owned fifty strats and when
i confronted you on that issue you changed your mind.
the way i see it you and a few others here dont like it
someone dosent agree with you. i find a lot what you
say just simply false. i have been playing strats for a long
time my friend and i wont buy into that if its not a certain
MIA or custom built its no good. that is simply a load.
you dont like what i have thats your opinion and your opinion
only i didnt buy my highway ones or my MIM or MIK for your
enjoyment. the bottom line is what i have are fantastic guitars
and i like them so i share my experience with these moddel's
unlike a few here that try to cram it down are mouths that
if its not a certain MIA or customshop its crap. and by the
way its looks not only on this thread but others that i have
posted on most others pretty much agree with me.
i'm done with this issue so post back rant on with your
opinions it makes no differnce to me.

Not my opinion at all. Its very well documented across this site and indeed only a few posts above this one that i dont prefer instruments based on origin. Ignorance showing through now.

nik i'm going to be in Enfield in october for ten days
visiting friends. i would like to meet up with you and play
some guitar this is to show that all in all i'm pretty much laid
back and love playing guitar. and not this raving idiot like
some like to make me out to be.

Well, Mr. Twelvebar went after him a bit and the dialogue describing the thread theme and its relevance to other threads, described as sureal, suggests posters are effectively talking about Always rather than talking with him. Maybe Im misinterpreting, but it seems to me that talking about someone in front of them, even through inuendo, is sort of insulting.

He can be abbrasive and confrontational, but he seems to be coming to the middle in this thread. It deserves credit and Im defending him the same way I've defended "the same three" to him and others.

my issue here was with him blowing someone off with 'personal opinion only' after his posting history. i understand that the MIJ post was made at least partly tongue in cheek, but if someone on this forum has ceded the right to use that particular phrase it is him.
