Thinking of putting Fender '57/'62 Vintage style PUs in my American Standard strat, whilst I'm aware that it will not sound identical to a reissue 'Vintage' model, owing to different bridge, truss ro, tone controls etc, it should sound pretty similar.

Is there anythinjg I need to be aware of? As far as I know I can simply swop them over, with no mods to tone controls? Am I correct about that or is there more to it than I realize??

Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering why I don't just get a Vintage reissue: I already have a Standard; & I don't like the triangular neck/small frets/lack of truss rod accessibility in the vintage.......

It should be pretty straightforward. All black wires to the base of the volume pot, all coloured wires to their respective switch position lugs.
