What pedals do you use for a bluesy sound?

I have a Vox Big Ben Overdrive that I use on my AC30cc2, with my EJStrat. It's okay I need more sustain though. Mostly I need to get better at playing. It's my birthday sunday and all I can think of in the 4100 t0 4200 range is a pedal or whatever. any good ideas?

Ibanez Tubescreamer Overdrive Pro TS808 reissue.

There are several pedals that you can tweak for a bluesy sound. A few would be :

Boss Blues Driver
Digitech Bad Monkey (nice mid-range boost)
Digitech Crossroads Pedal
Boss FDR-1
Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic
Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive

that is only a few and many, many more. I'd try as many as possible until you find what you like.

DigiTech Screamin' Blues is another that can be added to the list.

I've got a BOSS Blues Driver, it sounds great. Otherwise I'd say that the BOSS OD1 is one of the best.

1. Ibanez TS9 or TS808 Tubescreamer, or
2. Boss BD-2 Blues Driver.

Musiciansfriend.com has sound clips, but who knows what guitar and amp combination they used to make them.

What kind of setup are you currently playing? I bought a Peavey "Delta Blues Tube Amp" setup and ready for the blasting the blues clean or dirty with optional overdrive.

I've heard people praising pedals moded by Keeley, Humphrey, AnalogMan and others. I know they change out components, but what else do they do to them? Are they really that much better?

Keeley and Analogman do some great mods, imo.
