Thanks RK, i am playing it as much as i can. Unfortunately(lol) my wife plays too, and has discovered the joy of a strat!!! I never thought i would have to "settle" for playing my Les Paul custom..... I am already looking for another strat to distract her with. Is that wrong??

There'a nothing wrong with that. I use to try to get my wife to play, but she never liked it; however, she enjoys my playing from time to time. I say if it takes buying another Strat to be able to play yours, it's worth it (for both of you). Try to find her one similar to the one you have...she'll be happy. Enjoy the new Strat when you can...

So turns out it is a CIJ '57 reissue (checked out neck heel) made in '05 at the Fuji plant. Finally found a site that could track the serial numbers.
