I have a MIM deluze player's special with the vintage style bridge (six attaching screws)

How do I adjust the height of the bridge saddles? It looks like each saddle has a pair of screws on the front edge - but I don't see a scewdriver slot or hex head key hole for turning them. Also, there doesn't seem to be any extra thread, so it appears that 1/2 turn on the screw would remove it from the stamped saddle.

Does anybody make a better quality replacement bridge that would work with the existing six bridge mounting holes?
