have any of you ever noticed a gap where the trem bridge rout and the bridge have a little space? Heres a picture of my 97 Am Roadhouse strat. All parts check out as stock yet I don't see this gap on my other strats or remember any from past strats

well I am sorry you have the gap,but I will admit I don't feel so bad now. I meen yours is a deluxe ash(super sweet guitar)I had noticed it when I bought it in march but all the strats I have looked at since, mine and others I didn't see that gap. So I thought I would ask the forums. Is your bridge tight to the body or set up to float?

Ah well, nothing in life is perfect :)

I just leave it so that it 'floats' parallel to the body

I have never really gotten into doing any crazy stuff on the tremolo, most times I leave the arm out....just kind of grab the bridge by hand and give it a wee tug for a splash of effect now and again.
