From what I gather... I hear that there may be two different versions of this guitar. How can I tell which one Is what? How much are they worth?
Thanks...

Hi Coffee,
The 40th anniversary Strat can be confusing. The American Standard Version two tone sunburst maple neck 3 single coils with 5 way switch... serial on the neck plate. Supposedly only 1954 were made. Sells from $1600.00 to 1700.00 US in excellent condition.

There was a Custom Shop Dealer Diamond edition only about 50 made with 1954 -1994 at the 12th fret with gold hardware and flame maple neck. That puppy will set you back about $5000.00.

There was also a Japanese version that I don't know much about...

There are a lot of American Standards with the 40th anniversary neck plate "40 years and still rockin" with a nice little 40th red white and blue pin at the top of the headstock ... Some people are trying to pass them off as a 40th anniversay (which I suppose in a way they are) but are not really worth what some people are paying for them.. $700 to 800 US max.

Which specific pickup config you've on your guitar? Two SAs and an 85?

Does your puppy use the EXG and SPC circuits?
