Hi everyone,

Just joined the Fender's family....
Got an American Standard Srat

Played acoustic all my life, and decided now to go electric.
Can anyone suggest me a nice little amp for playing in my appartment, to be able to get a nice true sound for this baby.

My friend lended me a VoxAV30DT until I find mine - but the guitar just doesnt sound as good as in the shop and Im very dissapointed about that right now.

Can anyone help please. My budget for an amp is $350 max

I have a Blues Junior tube amp that I bought used for $250, its not as warm as the larger tube amps, but for home playing and practice I guess its more than enough, actually its louder than I need.

The choices are much more in that price range for solid state amps ... Line 6 Spider III, crate, Fender G-DEC, etc...

I just prefer the sound of tube amps more as many on this forum...

Cheers
Hisham

I have a little fender champion 600 re-issue, for the living room. Sounds great. You might want to get something like an Ibanez tubescreamer, if you want to add some crunch though.

Have both, Blues Junior and a G Dec like them both but in your case the G Dec could be more fun to play with. imho

Be warned, even these little amps can get 'too loud for an apartment' when cranked up.

I use my blues Junior amp in an apartment ... but yes I keep it at low volume most of the time .... but its worth it IMHO.

Hi dany girl, and welcome to the forum. I have a Roland Micro Cube amp that I like very much. It's only about the size of a car battery, but it puts out a lot of sound. It has amp modeling that will satisfy just about any kind of music. Best of all, it costs only about $125!

Here's a demo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qSf0mYO3R4

Once again, welcome and have fun! 8)

Several of the great little workhorses have already been mentioned here. So, to add one more...

The Vox DA10 will surprise you... rich, credible big amp tones from this one. A/B that with a Super Champ XD and let your ears guide you. Both have very vintage vibes [sonically].

hey dany,
i have an am strat and a hwy 1, that i pluginto the gdec,15 watts.
it jams, especially your style of music you play.
i can from frusciante tones to keith richards, eg brown sugar.
it has delay, reverb, chorus, phazer, flanger, some useful distortion to get your rock on. but the gdec 30, is that much better and pretty portable also.
from what i play, it handles hendrix, vaughn, and hard rock tones.
