I was somewhat quizzical when I read that bit in the bio, "He likes a Mexican Strat?" But then I thought, maybe it's just a cool looking guitar. The anodized scratchplate and all. Sometimes a guitar just looks so cool and you want it, regardless of whether it's Japanese or Mexican. He could have simply stated "a Fender Strat", the fact that he made mention of its origin may imply that he thinks they are lovely guitars. I think they are lovely guitars. He may play that guitsr the most for sentimantal reasons. I bet he keeps by the couch and noodles with it when he's watching re-runs of Eastenders. But atthe end of the day, ity's the sound and music he makes out of it, you know?
I'm glad he's finished writing. I prefer him playing his Mexican Strat.

the facts are that the MIM's are steller strats.
the standards and others are holding value and
have gone up in value. little modds here and little
modds there and what you have is a pure tone machine.
i play my 2006 MIM standard just as much as my MIA strats.
with the modds i have done it is a pure tone machine
and i'm all about tone.

Ever since Fender did the upgrades on the MIM Strats back in 2006, the quality of these guitars have vastly improved and as a owner of a 2006 Sunburst model, I am pleasantly pleased with my purchase and in the end that should be the only thing that matters, shouldn't it, after all whether it was made in America or Mexico, it still says Fender on the headstock and that's what's important!

you are sooo correct. from 2006 to present the quality of
cratfmanship on the MIM standards are simply brilliant.
it doesnt matter any more to most strat players wether its a
MIM or a MIA.

NOTICE HOW I SAID MOST PLAYERS AND NOT ALL.
