Tom if peoples ramblings insult you so much perhaps a public forum is the worst place you could find reading material. There's been nothing offensive posted to either German people or people of any other nationality. Myself i was just trying to interject a bit of humour into Adrian's self admitted venting.
What else would you rather have here? 1000 endlessly repetitive mim v usa, what pickups, help my guitar wont work threads?

Wow! Correct me if I am way off base, but that Fawlty Towers sketch seemed to me to be making fun of Cleese's British character (Basil,) than it did of making fun of the Germans. I think it fit in the light spirit of the original post too. If oyu are offended by that, you 'd better stay inside your house, and never turn on your TV. That was just plain funny.

Well if you read carefully, that's exactly what I said. The Basil Fawlty sketch is a brilliant satire on those British people who can't get over the past. And it's really funny.

But tell me how it connects to a guy in a guitar shop?

It connects by purely farcsical imagination, taking one bad situation and turning it into utter buffonery. Albeit in the harmless area of imagination after the fact. Adrians procrastination leading to his missing a could be dream guitar made inanely worse (area of imagination part here) by him donning the fawlty manner to cause himself true embarassment.

Please note i'm a thoughtfull person, i considered this to be a joke after the fact. I in no way encouraged him to hunt the buyer down and terrorize him with it.

i have brittish friends that i have known for
31 years. they live in a very nice town called enfield.

Nikininja, we need to leave this alone. I don't feel that strongly about it, and I haven't asked for anyone to apologise. I accept what you say, I know there was no malicious intent and I can tell that you are thinking carefully about what you have posted here, maybe unlike someone else - whose remarks I have not associated with you by the way. And in case alwaysstrat still hasn't figured it out, I'm not actually German.
