Yep: Vintage white is a relatively new colour, designed to look like an aged olympic (or maybe even arctic) white. I have a YJM in that colour (vintage-white/maple); my wife discribes the colur as 'custard-white', I'm slightly more derogatory: p*ss-yellow would be a better discription!! If anyone's interested it may be for sale; as I've now got a sonic blue /rosewood one that's much nicer looking!

Guitar Center is pretty good about customer satisfaction so if the option was available my foremost thought would be for an exchange, especially at what you to shell out for it.

Any artist's sound is the sum of so many components, most important is the ability of the player and not the signature on the back of the headstock. But I do understand the fan thing too. I'd die for the black Gilmour sig.
