Beautiful guitars. They match together really well. The artwork in the background scares me though.

OMG!!!! This totally made my day. I've got a new dream. The Duo-Sonic looks great! Is that a Am Deluxe Strat? Awesome pair man!

Thanks guys.Actually I did get very lucky. I had another Fender Duo-Sonic,a 1995 MIM reissue and I posted a picture of it on another guitar forum. One of my friends on that forum posted a reply asking if I was interested in a vintage Duo-Sonic? It turned out that he was selling the Duo-Sonic as a favor for the original owner. The original owner had bought this guitar in the Spring of 1957 along with a Fender Deluxe amp.My friend bought the amp for himself and sold me the guitar. It has one cool feature that I never saw before,it has Lucite pickguard protector over the gold anodised pickguard. This protects the guard very well and has keep it in mint shape for 53 years.

The only thing that is not original is the tuners. It has repro tuners that fit in the original holes.I have the original tuners but the buttons are crumbling.Someday I may put new buttons on but the repro tuners look good work so well,I am not in a rush to replace them.

Interesting username to match very interesting guitars. Tell me does it derive from the sheldon truetone amps?

Nice pair--I wouldn't mind a Strat to match my Mustang (3 colour sunburst).
Since I would like to get a Strat one day--if I found 2 or more that were fairly equal, that could be the deciding factor--but I wouldn't get a Strat just because it matched my Mustang.

Still nice pair--nice score.

Thanks man!Well,I really didn't just get it because it matches my Duo-Sonic.Actually it doesn't really match because the Duo-Sonic is Desert Sand and the Stratocaster is Olympic White. No,I really got it because it is an awesome strat and I and I really wanted one of the new American Standards. I used to have some other strats but those are all gone. Now this is the only one I have.
