My Mexican strat has a serial number MZ4 and 6 digits!!!!
I am slightly worried - it certainly plays OK
There are some minor build quality issues but main point though - is it genuine??? :?:
Second point - what year - I think it was first bought in 2006 but....

Mine is Mn5 +6. This site used to say 5 or 6 digits on the dater section. Infact i have two my tele reads MZ8051977. Both guitars bought new from very reputable sellers.

MZ refers to Mexican Zero, which is any guitar made from 2000 onwards.

:D Great thanks for this guys (or girls)
I bought this guitar in Indonesia and you just never know
However, the sound is good and it's great to play

BTW - I'm thinking of getting a Squier Tele (I'm on a lmited budget) as a scond gigging guitar (to supplement the Mexstrat) - I play mainly rythmn
Any views? - is this worthwhile investment or should I save up for a Fender Tele - I mean how good does an Em need to sound? 8)
