Cheapest MIA. First in the MIA line. They get more expensive going forward in the line. Nothing wrong about that, they are good guitars!

What is hard to understand! The H.O. is the cheapest MIA guitar. That means they cost less than the other MIA models! Real simple to understand! :?
And the word is spelled sense!
Have a good night alwaysstrat ! I'm giving it a rest. Talk to you later! :)

I thought we were talking about the best strat ever, that appears to be the crux of your theme. Lets face facts for £6/750 theres far better out there. Look at the prs se line for proof. The LP studio does a far better imitation of a LP standard than a H.O does to a american standard (which incidentally i dont own). Never mind viger or any of the other strat makers out there that you need to get through before you reach the lofty heights of fenders upper echelons.

alwaysstrat,

Glad to see you back. Have a question for you. I posted a link on the Fender Forum...I need to bounce this off you. I have a Squire CV 60 that I just purchaced as a second guitar. It is a nice cheap back-up guitar. I also have a '07 SSS HWY 1 Stratocaster. Long story short...Would you put Alnico V's in your bridge or a Dimarzio Super Distortion or some other Humbucker. My HWY 1 Alnico III sounds a little weak compared to the Squire Alnico V.

Oh, I agree with you. I love my HWY 1 as far as the way it plays and most of the tones I get. I love the tones I get from my neck and middle pick-up. I really liked the Bridge p-up until I heard the Alnico V from my Squire.

RK

I have a late 2006 Highway 1. I bought it because I liked the Flat Black finish. It looks cool. I am also a fan of the Large headstock, the jumbo frets and the hotter pickups.

It looked like this new at the dealer:

I replaced all the chrome with Black, changed the pickguard, and got rid of the greasebucket wiring.

It now looks like this:
