The worst thing about the argumentative nature of this thread is that no one is disputing that the highway one is a good guitar. Best, well thats debatable and based on opinion.

I got brilliant on my mind!
Your are correct Niki I have heard no one say that it is a bad guitar. It's just that some have argued its merits incorrectly and by doing so it has been argumentive.
If someone said they liked the 9.5 neck on it with the old 70's headstck that would make sense. To say you like the neck because its old school does not because theres nothing old 70's about it other the head stock shape. To say you love the sound of the pickups would make sense but to say you love them because they sound old school would not. Its nothing old school about the pickups or the circut for them.
So some say its old school because it don't have many features but the ones it does in reality are not old school. To me thats the wrong why to try to make a point about the merits of the HWY. Fender sold people on that by just using the old looking head stock and not using its higher end new features nothing else. In reality it was how they were able to make it at a lower cost. Less money labor and parts. Many just go along with the sales pitch and believe. Nature of marketing.

so far CV its you and nik that keep rehashing
this thread.and anyone who owns this strat arnt realy interested what you think. so why dont you and nik just let this thread fade out and move on.

Sorry
Actually this post sat for many weeks until you started it back on June 6 and its now June 8 and you have made 21 post sinse the 6th. on this topic here. For someone not interested thats a lot of posting.
Also I am sure you have noticed I have not been stating opinions just design and business aspects on the recent talk. I did not no you spoke for everyone on the forum as to what they are interested in. I must have missed that vote.
And yes My last IQ test was 142

"morrissey" then "by" followed by you on June 6 ,and I have scored higher then that before as well. Depends on the test. You will find I don't speak if I don't know what I am speaking about most times.

On the mensa test i took mine sometime around 92/93. Before british scores were altered and the test was scored on the american method (not letting on the result). Just after i took the test there was a big hoo haa about some experiment some organisation had conducted on south american tribes women using the standard type mensa paper. One day the majority were scoring 180+, the next day they werent making it into three figures. Thats why you now take multiple tests and your score is averaged to get a accurate overview of your score.

Just thought i'd add that bit. :D

Yes, I have to agree with you there -- this one's run its course IMHO. Locking.
