highway one sss strat - upgrade version - july 2006
to present. list price - $1,130 - retail price - $900 to $930
so not a cheap strat. the finash on this strat ia a thin nitro
finish the same finish fender used on there strats back in the
50's up until the mid to late 60's. large 70's head stock COOL!
also gives better sustain. grease bucket circut, alnico III pick ups
$@! kicking and very versatile. middle pickup is reversed wound.
these are things you find on some custom made strats but here they are
on the highway one. neck is a fast and smooth c shape maple neck
with 22 jumbo fretts. this strat is one of the most versatile tone
strats that i and many pro guitarist have come across in a long time.
you people everything i stated about the highway one is FACT!
not some personal opinion or a opinion because i dont or do like
the highway one there facts. so heres my final word on the highway one
next time some of you want to bash this strat with your opiinion
dont forget the facts to.

They still have 3 SSS sunbursts at the old price in a shop that I frequent in Manhattan.

Its not a authentic 50's/60's nitro finish on those guitars. Its a thick urethane finish with a nitro topcoat. Their nothing at all like thinskin's

Easy to do.

Just go and look at it and compare its finish to a timemachine or vintage hotrod .

There have been lots of jokers on these boards asking questions about Hwy-1s.....they needed your expertise, man!

I hope all is well.

you are right some of these jokers have been
on this site for a long time. it seems they dont go
on other sites that discuss and rate the highway one.
or do they even bother to get the correct information
about the highway one because if they did more than
half the crap and i do mean crap wouldnt come out
of there mouths. jay you know who they are no
names need to be mentioned.

I said 'to some its like a cheap starter guitar' to be precise. Why is that wrong. Does Alain laFrance have one in his collection? Do I have one in my humble beginings of a collection?

And thereby the most produced. You wont see them appearing in vintage and collectible for awhile

were not talking collectible here at this time nik.
you are avoiding the true issue here and not doing
a very good job at it.

Cheapest MIA. First in the MIA line. They get more expensive going forward in the line. Nothing wrong about that, they are good guitars!
