Hello everyone,
I have a Fender Stratocaster Ash Deluxe with S1 Switch (giving you a variety of 10 tones instead of 5).
Finally after about 4 months of malfunction (S1 switch used to get disconnected in some configirations), I think I got it fixed.
Anyway, I have a question for the people who own this guitar (or any guitar equipped with the S1 switch and the SCN pickups).
Is it alright to have the same tone or extremely close one (very hard to distinguish between them) in the two following configurations:

1) Pickup selector at position 3 (middle pickup active) with S1 switch unpressed.
2) Pickup selector at position 4 (middle and bridge pickup active) with S1 switch pressed.

I could not play in this configurations (and some other too) for 4 months. I really don't remember how it used to be.

Many thanks in advance.

My tones in those two positions are completely differnt. I have the U.S.A. HSS ash strat.
I still dont have much use for the S1 switch though.

On all SSS S1 strats the last selector position with the S1 pushed in sounds the same as the second last.........And it's like that, because there are only 9 configurations (Fender just say that it's 10).
