I got my first strat like 38 years ago and you no what I like the Strats, Teles, and LP's, ES's and so on they all have there place in music. Being a player and repair guy you tend to look at the good in all as well as each ones short comings. I am just not sentimetal about a peice of gear theres not a one I would not get rid of if I had to to get one that I find better. I would not care what it is if the other seems better to me. Pledging alligence to one guitar limits you. The artist always have more then one type of rig on stage no matterr who they are.
I am just not the sentimenal type it's all about the right gear for the sound you are looking for which changes by song and style.

And we all know the Mojo takes on a life of its own when you try different styles and sounds. Its one thing to play like someone else its another when you add you own Mojo.

well fhop its looks to me on my last post
the final word - that the mojority agreed with me, not you or cv or nik. so basicly anything you
and the other 2 say in the future negative about
the highway one strat is pretty much going unnoticed.
i have proved my point and thats all i wanted to do.
no need to do so in the future eaither i already done it.

I've never said any Fender product was bad but just the opposite! You read too much into my comparisons of different strats. I love them all. You will get no argument out of me as always! Have a good day my friend! :)
Oh , and you have proved nothing but that you have an opinion. So does everyone! :)

I have played a Highway one and ended up buying a 08 strat. Really , i could care less about the way it looks, otherwise i wouldnt have tried the HW1.I felt the feel of the neck and the tones that i was getting was exactly what i was looking for.Not to take anything away from the HW1, but there wasnt any comparison. The HW1 was too dark sounding for me and the delta tone is an awesome option when you play the bridge pickup with the tone rolled off to about 5-6 and you kick in the overdrive. That puppy sings.

I also walked out of a music store with a 07 highway one, and then a week later returned it for an 08 Am. Standard. Sorry Always, but I just couldn't stand the neck on the highway one after a week. The Am. Standard just felt better in my hands.

Why do you keep having to defending the HWY One against the American Strat. You keep on telingl everyone how great they are and its a fact and you never mention what fact other then you read it on other forums. Sometimes Alwaystrat it is best to just let some things lie and stop trying to call out people like Fhop, Niki, Ceri or Myself. I would think that the large majority of the people on the Forum think you are just a childish acting individual who has shown nothing and proved nothing in anyway. The insults and the remarks you have made do nothing but show what intelelegence you have on any matter. I am sorry for having to say some of these things to any one because they are not kind remarks to be made but i have no doubt almost all agree with me on this.

Now (always) just come back with the usual insult or name calling or what ever you want that we have become acustom to.

I am sorry everyone else had to read this because this in not what the forums are for!
