I finally recieved my M.Knopfler signature stratocaster. I must say it is a keeper. I love everything about it, from the colour to the perfect ash body. Those TEXAS SPECIAL pickups are nice and hot. If you crank the over drive they rock or simply on a clean channel there like glass. I was a little worried ordering it right out of a catalogue without playing it .going from a road worn to a custom shop I DEFINETLY MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. :D :D . Ive only had it for a couple hours now dont know what other great complimets are in store ILL tell ya though I never had this instant likeable effect from any other guitar . I really would like to put up some photos I just dont know how, if any of u could be kind enough and send some instructions I would be glad to. OUT :D :D :D :D :D

I'm intrigued, because I am such a skeptic towards the artist series. At least you got tha ugly road worn guitar replaced! ;)

Hi koocho: great to hear how that MK has worked out for you.

From what I've seen, there is an argument to be made that the Knopfler guit should belong in the small group of Signature guitars that are valued as ultimate examples of a certain set of Strat features, rather than just an artist "personality" project. Along with, say, the Clapton and Johnson Strats.

Bit surprising we don't see more of 'em about.

Enjoy your hot red Strat!

Cheers - C
