From Wikipedia:

In November of 2006, Fender announced that they will be issuing a replica of Gilmour's modified black Stratocaster. David's official blog confirmed that it will be released in late 2007, to coincide with the release of the 'Remember That Night' DVD[7].

Very cool. :D Creative guitar player. Shows you don't have to be super fast to be super good.

Melody and soul beats technical and speed any day. Shredders bore me anyway. I don't know anyone who plays with more soul then Gilmour. His solo's are pure emotion.

just talked to a guy at Guitar Center and he said that he heard they would be out by December. But I don't know for sure about that.

Will just be a '69-'72 Black Strat with '57 reissue neck, black guard and possibly Seymour Duncan pups. Won't have all the little dings (wood fill where the lockingtrem was in '84 etc) but may well have the neck-bridge mod.

I did my own 'budget' version :D
