Hey All,

Looking for as much info as I can get regarding the guitar pictured here. Note the back of the headstock. It has written by hand "25 of 250" and a "Special Edition" sticker. I've never seen the hand written notation before.

MIM, '03, with custom chrome knobs. All stock, I think.

Anyway, have at it! Any info is welcomed. Thanks :-)

Where is the rest of the serial number on the headstock?

So, is it #50 or #25?

Well, it is obviously the same guitar. Unless someone has the same exact floor and the same exact table and took the picture in the same exact way.

Quite possibly, the guy has 2 of them? I still call shenenigan. :)

Yes, thanks atolleter for recognizing my mistake. That is the one exactly. I called Fender customer relations earlier and spoke to Scott who gave me a bunch of info on this particular model.

It was a Special Edition made for Guitar Center. The color is Sunset Orange and this one was actually manufactured in 2004. He said it's basically a Mexican Fat Strat. Has the same spec vintage frets and p'ups. Came with the black pick guard and had an MSRP of $670.

I questioned the fact that the serial number indicated that it was manufactured in '03 but he said it was made in July 2004.

To answer Trauma, I blocked the last few digits of the serial number as a courtesy to the actual owner because it's not my guitar. Not yet, anyway!

A pretty good deal if you like the HSS config. Try to knock him down to $300 and it'd be a real good find.

Let us know if you get it.
