Hello all, I just received my new American Standard and can't put it down. It is Olympic white with maple fret board and boy is she a beauty, (I'll be sure to post pictures soon). One of my many plans for the guitar is to get a creative unique pick guard to give it some visual flavor. I have even been looking to hire an artist to design one for me. I'm kind of leaning towards a turquoise and copper color abstract feel for it. Anyways I'd love to have some tips or web sites that may be good to know of. But most importantly I'd love to see some creative pick guards, which I'm sure a lot of the fender family has! So Please post pictures I'd love to see them.

THANKS! :D

I can only vouch for two companies. There are plenty others, but I've never tried them.

Warmoth has some relatively tame ones and Chandler guitars has some funky looking ones. If you look at the 123rd (I think) page of "pics of your strat" in the Stratocaster section, the white guitar has a Chandler guard on it. I don't think more of a description is necessary, you'll know it when you see it.

Hi taxman8507: where I live these folks will do absolutely anything you ask for on a pickguard - or a whole guitar. From airbrushing to phototransfer to LEDs to lasers to... you name it. At a price, of course:

Scroll down "guitar of the month" for a giggle - don't miss January's laser show...

Assuming you are in the US I'd be amazed if there isn't someone doing equivalent work somewhere within reach. Get Googling!

Cheers - C
