Thank God for Electro Hamonix. We dont have enough in the way of individual pedals. We need more whiiiirrrr whhhiiiizzzzzz and bbbbeeeeeppp. p. p.p makers.
I think we should petition the far eastern goverments to increase their output of unusuall guitar effects. Noise be damned we need strange sounds of yesteryear.

Nikininja,

The pedal on the left of the Keeley modded Blues Driver is a Fulltone Robin Trower Over Drive. Great pedal if anyone is looking for some serious OD. The green pedal is the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay and yes the one on the far right is an EH Soul Preacher. Then there's the Boss EQ with a Monte Allums mod that I aquired at a yard sale for $15 (and it worked!!!). My favorite is the Blues Driver. Its perfect for Texas blues with alittle grit. These are the only pedals I own other than a Dunlop Crybaby.

Welcome to the Forum. Nice equipment. Hope you find work soon (times are rough). At least you have some good practice time for a bit.

Ah is that Monte Allums stuff good. I just bought some nut files from him and was wondering about getting a couple more of his devices. He's certainly prompt to reply and dispatch stuff. the files are currently crossing the atlantic.

nikininja,

As far as Monte Allums hardware goes I'm not really sure because I've never used any. The mods done to the pedal are top notch though. It is dead quiet and I've heard that the unmodded Boss GE-7 is a pretty noisy pedal. However, I've never heard the stock GE-7 personally so I can only go by what I've read in reviews. The components used in the modifications are high quality and the soldering work is better than I could ever hope to do, although I'm not sure if he did the soldering or if someone just purchased the mod kit and did it themselves. I have considered purchasing some of his nut working tools but just haven't got around to it. I imagine they are of good quality because he does have a good reputation in many forums.

Good to hear Russ. I had a GE7 years back (92/3 i think) and never noticed it being noisey but i was a very different player in those days. The fact that the guy puts classy work into pedals is a good sign. It would be unlike someone to go to the trouble of developing a good rep on one thing to lose it on something else.

Cheers mate i'm filled with confidence.

Welcome to the FF! Beautiful Strat! I also really like your Tweed Blues Jr. I recently purchased one myself - wanted the tweed, but I found a killer deal on a regular black toltex that I couldn't pass up.

Looking forward to future discussions. Good luck on the job search!

Jim,

I thought your name was familiar for some reason and clicked on your page. I realized you're the artist that nikininja had mentioned in one of his posts (where I then went and checked your page out). I like your work, infact I have your page saved under my favorites. It appears you have changed it alittle since I last looked at it or may its just my bad memory. I love your Hendrix sketch. Have you ever considered selling something like that or sketching other musicians. I also dig your zombie sketches. I'm a big Romero/Zombie/28 days fan. Anyway keep up the great work.

Russ

Thanks Russ! Always nice to hear kind words about stuff you love to do. About selling work or drawing other artists - sure, I am always happy to get some money for my art. I usually work more on a commission base as I am more of a commercial artist, so I don't really store a backlog of painting/drawings. I work mostly digitally and in sketchbooks these days, as well, though I will break out the brushes (etc.) if called for.

Nice to see another zombie buff on the forums! Gotta' love the walking dead! :D
