Any recommendations fora good Reverb effects pedal/rack unit to go with a clean strat sound?

Has anybody tried the FDR-1 modeling pedal ?

I use a Digitech 2101 and I suggest it or one of it upgraded versions up to but not including the 2112. If you can get a 2101 with the dual S-Disc. Not only does it have the Digitech TSR 24 True Stereo Reverb effects unit built in, which is a good reverb unit to this day, it has a pretty good built in tube preamp. Nice recording unit too.

For the price these go on ebay these days, they can be bought and sold at no to little loss if you don't like it.

I can share a recording or two I did direct with my 08 AM Std strat and it if you would like to hear it

I recently purchased a Mr Springgy pedal from Lee Jackson. If you're after a range of fancy reverbs (gated, hall, etc) it's not the pedal for you, but if you want an accurate spring reverb sound without splashing out on a dedicated tank it's unbeatable. Check out the audio sample at his site. The pedal is transparent... it doesn't intrude on your tone or add noise to your signal chain at all, it just makes it seem as if your amplifier has acquired the reverb you always wanted it to have.

Thanks Firststrat and mondo500 these are goiod options I hadn't thought about ... I dont usually use pedal boxes that much with the exception of the reverb.

I've been hearing high praise for the new-ish DigiTech RV-7 Hardwire Reverb unit. Haven't tried one myself yet so it's not a personal recommendation, but in a magazine roundup it scored only just behind a couple of genuine spring reverb units at multiples of the price.

On a recent reverb thread in the Lounge a Forum user had good words for it too.

Cheers - C
