Now those circular frets sound very comfortable. Any idea what brands are using them?

12B notice the saddle placement on that (novas is it?) guitar. As extreme as the frets. Have you tried one yet. I'm strongly considering the lucytune 25 frets per octave method.

Graham Noden at Andy's on denmark st does the mod, he did the first one too.

I've only ever seen the CFS on Fujigen guitars.

The radius of the fret curve is pretty large!

Now now look what i found whilst searching for a fujigen in the uk
http://www.mcguitars.co.uk/USED-Electric/Orville-Les-Paul-Custom.html
Less than a studio model. Think I'm going for a drive tomorrow. That guitar has my attention for some reason even though i've never got on with lespauls. I seem to remember someone recommending them a long time ago.

Heres the circle fretted strat they have.

Seriously considering a trip to them.

Yeah! Someone. Maybe.

The ones with "Orville by Gibson" on the headstock are the high-end models, but the plain old "Orville" are still pretty nice MIJ "officially sanctioned copies." Notice, that Custom has a rosewood fingerboard. The high-end models would have ebony and fret-end-binding and USA pickups.

This talk gives Me Gas! Niki you have to have an LP around the House or the other sibblings get lonely for other cultures.

I've been curious, but honestly I've never had an intonation problem. I set that myself, and I've never heard notes that sounded "off" no matter where I play chords or anything - not live and not in the studio, not clean or with high gain sustaining chords.

And, I think they look "goofy" to me, like it's broken or something.

CV i just cant play em mate. Dunno what it is. The strings feel far to loose, i cant get up past the 15th fret, cant get a workable sound out of the neck pickup. Its obviously a problem with me because other people/ regular LP users dont suffer the same malaise.

Dgonz i agree with you on the apearance aspect. No solution is particularly pretty, though i cant even see the circular frets on the fujigen strat. That is much like the initial problem though. You get used to it after a while.

Once again, I find that you gotta get that LP neck pickup very low, far from the strings. It helps if the pickup is a low output one too, unless you are playing high gain kind of metal (buzz saw).
