Hi edengrillz: give it a try. Obviously, shielding will kinda spoil the purpose of a see-through pickguard, so...

Some people smother the insides of their guitars with shielding, some do fine with just the foil on the underside of the pickguard, and some get by without any. Only experience will show which is right for you.

So long as you don't throw out the old pickguard you can always go back if it doesn't work out for you.

Post us a pic when you've done it, why not?

Cheers - C

I'll give it a try :) but does my original pick-guard have shielding on it?

Almost certainly. Next time you change your strings undo the pickguard screws, lift the lid and have a look. Thin aluminum foil on the back of the 'guard is what you will expect to find...
