I've always used Daddy's Junky Music/ for all my repairs. They Have several stores in the Boston Area. (Mass Ave. across from Berklee College of Music--- beware!!! The parking sux--- meter maids will tag you before you get in the store for 5 minutes) Down side of Daddy's Repair Dept.... it might take a while--- they've got at least 20 stores from NEW YORK to MAINE... all using the same techs. UP side of that--- those same techs have been there for a while and they know their stuff... completely dependable, and reasonably priced. All their repairs go up to their main office in Manchester NH which is why it takes a while. The store manager at the Boston store is knowledgeable on Fender and is definately a straight shooter.

I was at Daddy's on Mass Ave. about a month ago, and I was very impressed... much more impressed than I was with the store we had in Rochester.

Jim Mouradian and his son, Jon. They started out working with the band, "Yes" as techs and now have a thriving business!

Has anybody tried this yet when looking for a repair place?
http://www.fender.com/support/service_centers/
I went to my locally owned Rainbow Guitars for a setup with another guitar, this was before I bought the strat. After I bought the strat, I wanted a setup for it to start out on the right foot. I did a search for a "Fender Authorized Repair Center" and Rainbow Guitars is the only "official" place in Tucson. My local GC isn't "official", how's about that.
