I'd love to see angus play a Strat. Though not as cool, I have seen an old picture of Malcom playing a Tele. That was wierd and awesome looking. Would love to have heard it...

Esteban

Maybe if he got a good guitar he'd quit selling those crappy ones on QVC. :D

Hello Firstrat,

I'd like to see Les Paul himself
playing a Stratocaster.

Cheers

+1

Esteban is one weird cat; he can play though, that's for certain.

i know he uses them a lot, but i'd like to see Edge play more strats!

There's a reason Joshua Tree is a brilliant album- he used a strat exclusively to record it (except the Infinite guitar on With or Without You). He needs to stop foolin around with his million guitars and get U2 back on the Strat-Explorer track.

By the way, it would be sooooo sick to see Santana on a strat....

I would love to see The Edge back on a Strat! I have to say though that I think that Santana would be a disaster on a Strat- unless it was heavily modified (definitely would need the Clapton boost). His style is just not suited for it. He uses way too much gain for my taste.

that's true...but it would mess with my head enough to be cool.

I just feel like whenever Edge picks up a strat, even nowadays at shows, something about his style just compliments his sound. Pride (played with the bridge n middle pickups), Sunday Bloody Sunday (bridge), and Where the streets have no name (either middle or middle-bridge) are all fantastic songs that are so strat its insane.

Why he chooses to use anything else is a mystery to me.

I agree that the Edge sounds best on a Strat. They have played Bullet the Blue Sky on every tour since '87 - and the solo - always on a Strat - has gone through a nice evolution.

I saw Johnny play one back in 1977 in Atlanta , I had great seats ,I used to date one of his sister in laws. It was black with a maple neck , he use a different guitar for slide stuff.
I would like to see Hubert Sumlin put some blues down with a Strat. 8)
