I prefer rosewood due to the feel and the look. Also, it was only in the last year or so I came to find that the fretboard that I love so much on my '76 Gibson SG Std is ebony (all these years, I assumed it was rosewood). So, a big shout out for ebony, as well.

Maple, by far. Especially when it is a single piece, not a maple fretboard addition.

I prefer rosewood, but I like both and won't turn my nose up at a guitar with a maple neck.

I have had 2 rosewood and maple has my vote by far. I was happy with my first until I played the maple.
