Tea and biscuits rarely needs apologizing for. Infact i think Nasa got it wrong using that symbol with naked people on it. It gives out completely the wrong message. I'm sure they'd of got a better response if they'd used a picture of a teapot and some mcvities chocolate digestives on it instead.

Who wants to go and meet a bunch of naked aliens when you could meet some aliens with the kettle on. http://www.legendcookshop.co.uk/erol.html#4354X4357

The packaging on them must be adamantium to stop em getting broke.

Nah, see I can get away with it cos it just sounds less offensive with my accent.

No, wait: that can't be right. At the age of nine I got grounded at a summer camp on Cape Cod for using rude language. My mother came down and pointed out I was only using the same language as the other kids - indeed, I'd only learnt a couple of those words at the camp.

The camp director thought about it for a moment and then said (this is true): "yes, but it just sounds so much ruder with Ceri's English accent. Still grounded..."

It comes in at around the £25 mark which is quite average around the UK. Its what i charge and i base that price on what people i know charge.

Word of advice. Even though i've been capable of setting guitars up i used to pay a bloke £40 to do it. Someone who you really trust to do a great job is worth paying extra for.

thats sounds like a fair price. i was just wondering. i have been a loyal customer at a local guitar shop for years now. and normally it's just one of the workers that are there, that setup guitars. is that ok? or should i take it to summon that only does guitar set ups and repairs????

If your getting a decent job done why risk having someone else muck it up. Theres cowboys in every trade mate. The guys done right by you for years why wont he do right by you again? If you have a guitar you dont care for much then i'd take that to a new guy and see if they make any improvement. If they do you know your on a winner, if they muck it up tell the regular guy that you had a go at it. Its better than telling him you were looking elsewhere.

When i set a guitar up i usually go like this
General cleanup including nut grooves, after old string removal
Check and smooth trem posts/ knife edges of trem plate
New strings
Adjust trem angle to suit requirements.
Adjust neck relief
Check nut
Adjust string action/ rebalance trem if needed
Check pickup height and re-check action if needed.
Adjust intonation.
