I may have the chance to buy a Fender Talon guitar. I am not familiar with it. I did read on the internet that it was made in Japan by Fujigen-Gakki for Heartfield in the 1990s. It looks like an Ibanez RG.
Does anybody know about these guitars, and what kind of quality they are. Are they nice guitars? Were they expensive when new? What might I expect is a reasonable cost for said guitar.
Thanks y'all!!

I DID own one for many years. Actually 3 of them. Sam Ash had a BLOWOUT sale when Fender cancelled the line and out the door they were $250.00 WITH case!
I had to sell off 2 over the years because of money issues, but I kept one.
I performed live with it several times.
The neck as I recall was SUPER thin...I kinda like baseball bat necks.
I replaced the sucky stock pups with 2 Seymour Duncan AlNico II's and a Fender vintage noiseless in the middle.
It's an ideal METAL guitar; I'm long since past that phase in my music.
It wound up just sitting in my closet for many years.
Recently I sold it to a very appreciative gent on E-Bay who will give her the love I couldn't !

That guitar looks really nice... Its hard to believe that fender doesnt make any models like that anymore for the shredder oriented :)

I may be able to get a 1989-90 Talon in very good shape for $100. I am wheeling and dealing as we speak....AS WE SPEAK!! Not really I guess....I guess I am typing at the present time.
After I leave the computer, I will be wheeling and dealing to get that guitar for cheap.
It is weird, it was made by Fujigen-Gakki(Fender Japan) in association with Ibanez and Heartfield, but it says "Fender" on the headstock. Whazzup with that??
