Personally , i would never move up more than 1 size in thickness at a time. I use 10s on my strats and they sound fine. There is alot of difference in tension between 9s and 11s.I have a bjr too and you should get some really great tones from it.I would try moving the pickups before i would change string sizes. If you move up to 10s you may not need to do a complete setup, just some tweaking.

So do u guys think i should go with 10's. and either way i need 2 new strings so i cant stick with my 9's. but i dont have the $$ to pay smoeone to set it up for mee...

Your guitar came with 9-42's

Put on a new set of 9-42's, try adjusting the pickup height, adjust the tone controls on the guitar, change your amp settings.

Thanx for the tips. but i would like to get thinker strings. what do you recommend?

How long have you been playing and have you ever played heavier gauge strings on any of your guitars?

iv been playing for 6 years. But i have not played heavier gauge strings. but i am not happy with my tone. i have a blues junior, and have tried many many settings but my tone isn't there. i would like trying heavier gauge strings.

You can try the 11's, but like I said your guitar will need a complete setup.
Personally I don't think heavier gauge strings is your answer though.

Thanx for the speedy reply's. i already bought the 11's. so do u have links you could recommend me for instructions on setting up. i have some basic knowledge. or maybe any step by step videos relating to what im trying 2 do. Thanx

what cafeathers is trying to say, heavier will result in some what in tone change. i would be reluctant to change from 9s to 11s, with out knowing what im doing. i respect the fact you are eager to learn to do your own setups. believe me, its not easy, youll need practice, however, practicing on your 1200 dollar strat.
you need to adjust truss rod in order to suport the heavier gauge.
you need to adjust action, intonation and tremolo claw.
youll need ruler that measures in 1/32 and 1/64. adjust also brige height.
if your off in any of those, your guitar will result in BUZZ, or out of tune to itself.
your playing on an american strat and blues junior.
why not invest on a blues driver, or ts 808 something with increase in drive.

Every thing blues strat said is on the money. The only thing I can add is your going to be in for a suprise when you bend 11s are thick a loy of metal to push. You are deffinetly going to need a setup or your neck is going to bow.Hey Hendrix played with 9s and 10s.If you want a heavier sound you could of just tuned down a half step that will fatten you right up.I read an interview with Billy Gibbons who said he always played with heavey strings for the sake of tone till he was touring with,I forgot who who told him he used 9s and thats what he has been playing for years.Hey I am glad your into the tone of your ax because that is the most important aspect I mean guys who are not fretbord wizards are are respected for there tone and then you have most shredders who have the worst tone in the world. Some of my favorite tone meisters/SRV-VANHALEN-SANTANA-GARY MOORE-HENDRIX-BRIAN MAY-CLAPTON-BB KING-ERIC JOHNSON
