sounds good to me.
i dont have much exp w/raven amps.
however 20 watts even solid state gets pretty loud in a bedroom enviroment.
when i was starting out, i started w/15 watt gdec (great 4 improving soloin and improvisational skills). still jam with it .
mostly my line 6 spider jam (great for jamming loud to diff backtracking and some recording).

Good guitar, will last for a while and for different styles. Low end amp, don't expect it to rumble or sound great. For starters though, that can do you well.

if you are just starting out, that is a great set up. there is nothing too fancy there, and nothing too complicated to impede your learning.

It's a great combo for starting out! You'll probably have to upgrade the amp if/when you start jamming with a drummer. The Strat will likely be useful for you for a long time to come!
