Its legitimate. Your not going to get any better than Mr Schwarz's say so. The man ran the serial no' through fenders computer and got the part number. He then put the partnumber into the computer and got the specific's of your guitar. Which is part of a limited run as the emblem on the back of the headstock says and match's Mr Schwarz's info.

What exactly is the problem? What makes you think it could be fake? Please spill the beans.

Definitely agree with Nik.

This reminds me, there was a REALLY good website a few months ago that had many photos of genuine strats, and then comparison photos of their counterfeit. One of the things I remember was on the saddle, the counterfeit "D" in "FENDER" was generally rounded.

I found this website with some photos of tremolos you might be interested in:

http://www.stratocaster.name/avoidbuyingaforgery.htm

I'll keep looking for that website though..

have fun with your guitar!

The beginings of a good article on the above linked site. He forgot to mention the inclusion of the 6screw trem on vintage reissue guitars though.

Here is an interesting little article about fake Fenders and some good pics of fakes.

If it's not real, then we are all in SERIOUS trouble. Because if they can make a Mexican Standard that passes the quick photo test, the Custom Shop models gotta be next!

You could show us some pictures of the taken-apart-guitar if you really want to confirm it (because I suppose that it could be a real Mexican neck bolted to the cheapest of Asian bodies). Show us the neck pocket, neck heel, bottom of pickguard, body cavities, etc ...
