I have ISSUES!! I LOVE the Fender Highway One Stratocaster HSS!!So much so that I now own 6! (!!??)
I have every color BUT the Daphne Blue. (Give me time!!!)

Here they are:

The 5 Highwaymen: (ALL pickups have been changed to protect the innocent!!

L to R:
Gibson 57 Classic plus/ Fender VN's;
Gibson 490T/Fender VN's;
DiMarzio P.A.F./Area 58's:
DiMarzio Virtual P.A.F. Area 58's;
Gibson 498T/Fender VN's
ALL have Fender/Schaller locking tuners and Ferraglide saddles

Here's the newly aquired #6 in the very rare WALNUT (392) finish and she'll be getting:
2- Dimarzio Area 61's
A Gibson Burstbucker 3
Ferraglide saddles
and Fender/Schaller locking tuners! Hey when something WORKS!!

What can I say.....I love the wood, necks, big frets and big headstocks on these guitars. I just needed to "tweak" the electronics.
Now....these things are MONSTERS!!

Simply change the pickups or is it more than that?

No....thankfully....NONE of the humbuckers drastically overpower the singles. They're ALL nicely balanced!!

By "tweaking".....I was referring to changing ALL the pickups in ALL of them!
The pots and switches are all bone stock!

It appears that, from footage of his recent appearance with the Allman Brothers' Band , Daphne Blue was on Eric Clapton's must have list as well.

sweet guitars.

seriously, i love the idea of placing gibson p/us in the bridge.
i dol love the tone my hwy 1 puts out.
the next thing on the list is either a fender deluxe reverb or a twin reverb.
the tone is AMAZING...
