OK.........Lets see if this doesn't have heads rolling! What is better........... a modern day MIM standard strat or a 50', 60's original standard strat......I heard someone in a thread make a great comparison to the two recently....I will leave names out to protect the innocent!!!

I dont know about the american made ones, but the new standard MIM's are really good for the price... :)

This actually is a compelling question because the MIM Std is -- in my opinion -- much more old school than the current MIA Std is (mainly because of the vintage trem and 21 frets). To me, I never even considered this when I first got my MIM Strat. But after having it and learning more about older Strats, I have really begun to appreciate the coolness of my MIM Std's "old school" factor.
