Hi Stratocat, sure this was one of my first posts also, got a few replies, although a few mentioned a guitar care aid they used, looked for the previous post to get you the info, but, needle in a haystack,sorry, mostly though, the general concensus was as you said , just keep it clean, general furniture polish works for me,

I just keep mine clean with a soft cloth. I do occasionally use a very, very sparse amount of lemon oil polish (intended for high quality furniture/ antiques) to remove finger crud.

The care kit mentioned will work too. The real key is to go light on any kind of oil or polish to avoid buildup.

I just use Martin's guitar polish. I would imagine any brand of guitar polish would work. The maple necks have a finish on it......so a polish should be all you need.
