As to the problem at hand: This is not a big deal. As I think someone has pointed out. You can adjust the angle of the bridge (trem) by taking the back plate off the guitar and turn the screws that hold everything in place to the hight you want it.

You might even consider the number of springs that you are using.

I myself keep most of Strats set up with the bridge flush with the body. I don't use a Trem to often so I keep it set up like Eric Clapton. Luckly my E.C. Strat already comes set up like this with a small block of wood.

Use a ruler and make sure that both sides of the bridge are at the same hight. You also may need to get the guitar re-setup due to the fact that you changed some things.

Get a good repair guide.

@ Chet, I followed your advice and I'm going to get a set up done today and watch while they do it. (or fool with basses lol). Anyway, thank you for helpin me out, and did you ever patent that "Chet's Feathers" Fabric softener pick guard insert?:wink:
