I reply again!!! Seriously, try the malmsteen. Even if you don't like him. A scalloped fretboard will make you a better lead player. Give me $@!& if you want but the YJM is a dream. I don"t endorse,....I'm Just a player.

There is nothing like a scalloped fretboard. The Malmsteen Signature Strat is to die for.

It honestly makes you bend and perform vibrato.. The neck wants it. TRy it friends. It hurts a litttle at first, but so what? You will love it. If your not sure rent it for a few days. I've played 20 years and scalloped for 3. Only in the last year have I gone back to 4 hours a day. IT's fast....trust me.

Very hard choice indeed!
Not because of the Artists associated with these guitars; but because of the features and asthetics of each guitar.

Clapton model:

1: great pickups
2: good neck
3: great colors
4: medium sized frets

Malmsteen model:

1:even better pickups (IMHO)
2: what I imagine to be a 70's type neck (which I LOVE!)
3: decent colors
4:Because of the scalloping, the frets have a bigger feel.
5:the headstock is HUGE (late 60's/70's all the way!!)

Based on ALL of that....if given one of these for FREE....I'd take the Malmsteen.

I LOVE Eric Clapton... and he has been a HUGE influence on my playing.
I, personally, think Malmsteen is an arrogant butthead!

But the features won it for me!

I've heard this before. People claiming he's arrogant but I've watched many interviews with him and read interviews and he never comes off being arrogant at all.

Sounds more like another overly propagated internet myth.

Malmsteen believes, more is better. He's right. If you can rip......please play more! Holding back sucks......blow your load!!! Play so good , I need to learn to comprehend it.

Yes, Yngwie is arrogant. If you had perfect pitch, the best vibrato in the business, and a style that was sought after, you wouLd'd be arrogant???

Why? Who is this? I'm just making a statement. I don't have typing skills, if I made A mistake. I admitted to one message while drinking....that doesn't mean they are all the same. The previous message stands.

Your previous messages seem a bit hard to understand. First it sounds like you are making fun of Malmsteen then it sounds like you are defending him. Kind of hard to decifer actually.

And it sounds like you are holding a conversation with yourself each time taking a different stance.
