Okay. I bought this one because I got a good deal on it when I was thinking about a Strat (from my Gibson dealer, no less.) For $250 I brought this one home used a week or two ago:

Having a LP with humbuckers, an HSS wasn't what I was looking for, so I ordered a pickguard with Fender's Hot Noiseless pickups to upgrade this one.

As far as compared to a MIA Strat, I don't find it to be in the same class as the MIA's I've tried. I absolutely loved the American Standard. But for the money, it gives me a nice Strat that will help fill out what my guitars can cover.

Just bought an 06 HSS for 200.00. The thing was set up to where it was nearly unplayable. I had a guy do a setup on it and the difference is amazing. I am not worth a darn at work today becaue I was strumming my guitar all night last night. I am eager to learn how to do a setup myself. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Thanks for this thread.
